Why is turmeric good for you?
Almost everyone probably knows turmeric as the queen spice of Indian cuisine, as it is one of the basic ingredients in curry preparation. Turmeric contains curcumin, a polyphenol that is used as an Ayurvedic remedy in combination with essential oils. It is said that turmeric helps reduce the risk of heart and brain diseases, such as Alzheimerβs. In traditional Indian and Chinese medicine, it is used to prevent cancer, although this has not yet been scientifically confirmed. However, one thing is certain: curcumin stimulates liver activity and therefore helps detoxify the body. Turmeric Latte is also said to be useful for alleviating cold symptoms and reducing cough. Scientific studies have shown that turmeric is absorbed very little by our body. However, if it is taken in combination with black pepper, our body can absorb up to 20 times more curcumin! For this reason, a pinch of black pepper is an essential ingredient in the preparation of Golden Milk or Turmeric Latte.- On TiBioNa online, you can also find the ready-made mix to prepare Golden Milk in just a few minutes.

The traditional Ayurvedic recipe involves preparing a paste made from turmeric and water, which is then added to the milk. However, this is a slightly more complex preparation and not absolutely necessary for making a great Turmeric Latte.Β
Hereβs the quick preparation of Turmeric Latte:
Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and velvety consistency.
Then pour the mixture into a saucepan and heat it for a few minutes over medium heat.
Very quick, right?Β
The quantities of the ingredients can vary, especially regarding the preferred level of spiciness and sweetness. If you do not like the spicy flavour, you can omit the ginger. If you love sweetness, you can double the amount of honey.
